Su-2, 1/72 scale ( Alex
Ruchkovsky ).This is the 1:72 Su-2 M-88B with TSS-1 basically built
from the old Patriot Voronezh kit. The canopy and the engine cowling was borrowed
from another obsolete Alpha/VVS Models kit that also supplied the white metal
prop and landing gear legs. I used Equipage wheels and some spare insignia details
but the tail number was airbrushed. Small details mostly scratchbuilt. The model
is painted with homemade mixes prepared from Revell and Humbrol enamels. The
model represents the plane flown by G F Sivkov, a 288 BAP pilot who later became
the Hero of the Soviet Union. The photo of the tail part of this plane is available
in the "Su-2 Short-range Bomber" by D Khazanov and N Gordiukov published
in Moscow in late 2000.

Pilawskii ). ICM kit 1:72 strictly o/o/b. The aircraft is an Su-2
M-88 from the 209 BAP, winter 1941-42, pilot u/k. A base coat of AII Green was
applied, and then white paint sprayed over this. The weathering was accomplished
by carefully wiping away areas of the white to reveal the underlying color.
