I have finally met in person with Classic Pubs., and finalized the details of
my book, and other sundry matters. It looks like all of the details have been
agreed, and so there should be nothing more than to actually complete the end-product.
The current thinking is that the book should be ready for distribution in Spring
2003.
I do know that this project
has been interminably delayed. Indeed, it is now 3 years behind schedule.
I can only apologize most profusely for the extended wait. I can say, however,
in all truth that I believe it will have been worth the wait. The resulting volume
should be quite unmatched, equally in content, quality and authority.
Now, it is also true that
Classic Publications, Ltd. have merged with Ian Allen Group. Therefore, Classic
is no more, per se, and now they have reorganized as Chevron
Publications, Ltd. All inquiries about the book, which we are planning to
release under the title, "Soviet Air Force Colours 1941-45; Fighter Aircraft
of the Great Patriotic War", should be directed to Chevron Pubs.
