AML (printed by PropagTeam) 72004 "Stalin's Eagles in Yaks"
Part II
All schemes are meant for any of the Yak-9 kits. Overall
this is a well accomplished sheet. Registration is spot on and colors look good
(minus the comments below). This is an extremely well done sheet, one worth
looking out for. One important item to remember when looking at the instruction
sheet provided: they make the statement "Colour shades are only approximate!"
Please be sure to visit our Color Doc for VVS paint and
color information.
Schemes
Four sets of individual markings cover this sheet.
- Yak-9 "White 3", Denchik Nikkolay Feddorrovitch, 64 GIAP, winter 1943:
A very well done example with white stripes on the rudder.
- Yak-9T "Red 04", Steyepanyenko Ivan Nikkitovitch, 2 AE, 4 KIAP, spring 1944:
This well done example includes the marking of an eagle attacking a German
plane on its port side.
- Yak-9 "White 17", Steyepanyenko Ivan Nikkitovitch, 2 AE, 4 KIAP, summer
1943: An excellent decal set with the "tiger chasing Hitler"
on the port side of the fuselage.
- Yak-9T "White 85", Vyetrov Ican Ivannovitch, 1 AE, 66 GIAP, May 1944:
Another excellent decal set with a lion on the port fuselage side.
Overall, the sheet is very well done. Highly recommended.
