Yak-7B

Yak-7B ( Erik Pilawskii ). Like many of the 29 GIAP's Yak-7s, this -7B "White 53" of Cpt. Filolov had a large area of its white temporary winter coat removed. The underlying summer scheme of Black-Green over Dark Olive is quite clear. This model is a modified Mikro72 Yak-1 kit with a Falcon vac Yak-7 canopy. The kit radiator was heavily re-built, and all panel lines were added by drawing in with a draftsman's pencil. There is still an area of damage visible on the kit underside from transporting the model to IPMS Nats '97.
