I-16 Type 18 ( Alex Ruchkovsky ). "(Kiev, copy of Revell). A heavy rebuild of a Soviet copy of the old but not so good Revell kit, however the only choice at the moment I started it. Replacement details for wings, lower centerplane, fin, tailplane were built from scratch. I added shutters into the cooling openings and borrowed the prop and the skis from the SMER I-153 multimaterial edition kit. The windshield came from the Amodel kit at a later date. The model was airbrushed with a mix of Humbrol paints."

I-16 Type 18 ( Erik Pilawskii ). "This is the Hasegawa I-16 kit with NeOmega resin wing set attached. The NeOmega wings fit fairly well (save for my own mistakes), and make a huge difference in terms of planform accuracy. The scheme is taken from Red Stars p.6: "White 13" of the 7 IAP, Fall 1941, pilot unknown. The scheme is a classic AII application of Dark Green over Green. Decals were custom ALPS printed. The RO82 rails and RS-82 rockets were filched from a Dako Il-2 kit."
