I-16 Type 6

I-16 Type 6 ( Uwe Borchert ). "I built the I-16 Type 6 from the Hasegawa-kit. For this early type I must alter the style of the exhaust in the cowling. The wings have also the early long elevators. The cockpit has the typical sliding canopy. The decals are made from sheet (CM-125) with a little help from Blue Rider (Popeye, altered because he was too high). My model is the plane from Manuel Fernandez at the time of the Ebro-battle. He was shot down and killed August 14, 1938."
